Al Martens, DVM

Dr. Al Martens graduated from Michigan State University in 1978 and took his first job in Waupun working with Dr. James Deyoung. He married Dr. Bev Mayo in the fall of 1978, a veterinary classmate.

Dr. Bev is the founder of the small animal practice in Waupun, Maple Knoll Veterinary Clinic, and retired from practice in 2015. They have three adult children, Erin, Leah and David, and four grandchildren.

Although arthritis has limited his hands-on work with cattle, he is still active in the practice as a managing partner at Waupun Veterinary Services. He enjoys bird hunting with his dogs, kayaking, and traveling with his wife.
