Kari Slager

Kari runs our milk lab and is a certified veterinary technician. She's been with WVS for the past 23 years. She reads all the milk plates that come into the clinic checking individual cows and bulk tanks for bacteria and culture. She performs the blood tests to check the calcium, phosporus and electrolyte levels in a cow. Kari also runs the tests on fecal samples checking for fecal egg counts in small ruminants and salmonella.

Kari spends a lot of time doing paper work for health certificates for cows that are traveling in state or out of state for sales and coggins papers for horses. She also does the paperwork for all of the fair animals during the summer.

Kari and her husband, Dean, live in Oakfield. She has two adult children and four dogs. She enjoys reading, going to craft fairs and cheering for the Atlanta Braves baseball team.
